LifeQuest: What is
it?
LifeQuest is a 3 day journey into
the experiences, stories, and messages that
have shaped you into the man you are. It is
a trail map for your life that shows you how
to become the man you need to be, the man
the world needs you to be, the real
you.
Simply
put, it is time.
Uninterrupted, set apart time for you to
go deep into your story. It is a time
when you commit to get away, unplug, and
look at who you are, and what you really
want.
Why LifeQuest?
Like everybody,
David loves a great story.
David has
walked alongside many men over the years,
and there’s nothing he enjoys better than to
know the story of a man’s life.
Brent Curtis
and John Eldredge wrote, “Story is the
language of the heart. Our souls speak not
in the naked facts of mathematics or the
abstract proportions of systematic theology;
they speak the images and emotions of story.”
If you know a
man’s story, you can know his heart. You can
begin to know who he really is and what he’s
made for. And you find the glory and
strength that is his alone to display.
Think about
it. If you know God’s story, you also begin
to know His heart.
God speaks
personally and intimately into your soul,
into your heart. If you want to experience
God, if you want to find your life, you must
know your own heart, and that heart, that
deep place in you, is experienced through
story.
Most men say
they find it difficult to hear and see God
in their lives, but very few have ever seen
how God has spoken to them through the story
of their own life. And if story is the very
language of their heart, then they are cut
off from this vital place, and consequently,
are cut off from the very place God is
speaking and moving.
You soul, your
deep heart, is the truest, deepest and most
real part of you. It will live forever. As
C.S. Lewis put it, “You don't have
a soul. You are a Soul. You
have a body.”
The LifeQuest
Experience
LifeQuest can
give you…
- Hope
- Purpose
- Answers
- Clarity
- Focus
- Life!
It’s a
time to be honest. It’s a time to be
real. It’s a time to know the truth.
Jesus
said, “the truth will set you free!” He
also told us He came “to seek and to
save what was lost.”
Notice, not “who” was lost, but “what”
was lost.
Men, just
what has been lost? Just how much has been
lost?
Let’s go get it back!
